On PC its as close to aim assist off as any COD I've ever played except for the old ones where they forced aim assist off. I can't verify what its like on console for you, I suppose it could be different there.
The aim assist is quite weak in this game on PC. You're going to have a better time using a mouse. I mean I tried to explain the system to the best of my ability. I can't even tell the difference between aim hack and aim assist when watching kill cams No my man aim assist is really op in this game as almost every pc player is playing with a controller to sweat and tryhard. Then the killcams show the enemy has all the time in the world to look at me and destroy my hopes and dreams. Yet I have almost no time to register the threat before I'm dead. I can't speak on black ops or vanguard as I skipped those entries. They have toned down aim assists magnetic lock and tracking from MW2019. I have a significantly easier time keeping on target with a mouse in very close and very long range. In fact I have major issues with drop shotters and bunny hoppers as the aim assist is not adjusting with their movements in a way I can notice.Įven when 2 enemies cross each others paths it hardly moves the cursor where in previous games that scenario would really mess up the aim assist.
The amount the magnet keeps you on target while the enemy is moving is not noticeable.
The magnetic snap does not occur unless you are already on target and even then its weak as hell. I do not find the aim assist to be nearly as strong in this game as previous entries.
